Your complete Polar Express experience is approximately 90 minutes, but visitors are encouraged to stick around to celebrate, play, and explore the birthplace of American railroading. As you enter, you’ll see the North Pole’s iconic toy factory and clock tower and be greeted by dancing elves. Then, visitors are free to explore the North Pole, where they’ll find Santa’s Winter Village with crafts for kids, an array of model railroad layouts, opportunities for photos with Santa, and more! Gold and Silver Class passengers will also receive special mugs! Then, it’s time for your visit to the North Pole, located in the B&O’s spacious Roundhouse. Upon arrival, passengers will also receive a take-home hot chocolate kit and cookies in a Polar Express tote bag. Then, it won’t be long until you arrive at The North Pole, but not before Santa has given a silver sleigh bell to each passenger as the cherished first gift of Christmas. Then, the first act of this immersive performance will begin! Visitors will be invited to enter the story as they board The Polar Express for a Christmas adventure unlike any other. The conductor will punch your golden tickets, the chefs will dance and sing, the hobo will offer his special brand of wisdom, and The Polar Express book will be read aloud for all passengers. Then, the first act of this immersive performance will begin! After you arrive in your pajamas as a family, you’ll convene in our historic North Car Shop to dance with the DJ and join in fun holiday activities for kids.
